Self Defence for Teens
12 Week self-defence Workshop for Ages 11+
With violence on the increase, your teens deserve nothing less than the most effective self – protection system available today. We’re not going to teach your teen to be a fighter but we are going to teach them to be a survivor. Kalah was created out of a need to survive. The system is practical, highly effective, easy to learn, easy to retain and is used worldwide by law enforcement, military and security personnel. In fact, it is one of the fastest growing most widely practised systems available today.
Kalah can be learned by anyone regardless of gender, skill and size or strength level. Our ultimate aim is to have your teen recognise situations before they become a problem and should they find themselves in the wrong place at the wrong time arm them with the skills and knowledge that will enable them to disengage from a sudden and unprovoked attack as soon as possible, move to a place of safety and call the appropriate authorities for help.
These classes are designed to help your teen feel safer, empowered, confident and in control. When your teen feels this way they are less likely to react violently because they know how to keep a cool head, assess a situation and react accordingly. Kalah provides no-nonsense straight to the point self-defence techniques that your teen can put to use instantly should the need arise.
Kalah Combat Training
These classes teach you how to defend yourself against weapons,chokes, grabs, strikes. other attacks, including fighting on the ground and when confronted by a weapon. We emphasise realistic scenarios and realistic defences. For Ages 15 – 45
Kalah teaches you the ability to survive in stressful, dangerous and violent situations even in states of extreme duress or exhaustion.
Kalah where uniforms and belts are irrelevant. It is not to be confused with any traditional martial arts or combat sports fighting systems. We are not in the business of taking years, but rather months, to teach a student how to incapacitate or eliminate even the most extreme adversary.
